Brother Jermaine At Michael's Memorial Service

A moving rendition of Charlie Chaplin's, "Smile" from a brother in mourning as millions watched the Michael Jackson Memorial Service from Staples Center in Los Angeles. Jermaine Jackson, the older brother of Michael Jackson kept from being teary and emotional as he sings. A moving tribute for the King of Pop known to every living being on this planet but for his family and friends, Michael Jackson is still human, with his indecision, doubts, fears and misgivings. The memorial service is not another grand concert with all the spectacle and brouhaha rather, it was to pay respect to a person who fulfilled his destiny on this planet. Goodbye, Michael.

A Filipino Tribute to the King of Pop

In 2007, a prison supervisor uploaded a home-made dance video to Youtube patterned and choreographed from the music video, "Thriller" by Michael Jackson. It became an instant hit all over the world. The dancers are the prisoners of the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center.






As a tribute to the King of Pop of his untimely passing, they produced a dance number according to CNN. Witnessed by families and friends, the prisoners performed to their best to honor the King of Pop. CNN even reported they were impressed by the show.

Shocking news today! Michael Jackson, the King of Pop, passed away. I can't remember when in my childhood did I start to adore this wonderful singer. But one song that stuck to me from him is "Heal the World." Michael, with your music, you've healed the world.

Her Name is NEDA

Gone are the days where the "PEN IS MIGHTIER THAN THE SWORD," but still could be true. As technology progresses and innovations come in today's digital age, a picture is still worth a thousand words. And the picture that became the rallying cry for democracy in Iran is an Iranian woman named NEDA. Her identity is still unknown but her death captured in video posted in Youtube inspired the world looking in what could be another revolution brought by alleged election rigging. All around the world Iranian women expatriates and sympathizers continue their protests shouting the name of the woman named Neda. As we wait for what will become of Iran, let's not forget the memory of one who marched the street and let her voice be heard. Her memory and others who fought for their country. The Summer Solstice

Besides Father's Day, the world celebrates the Summer Solstice, a celebration of the Earth, the feminine and the living natural world. For self-proclaimed witches or simply, nature lovers or Mother Earth's daughters, it is a season of abundance, to harvest herbs and honey. Legends say that couples marry in June because it is the peak of nature's abundance. That's where the word "honeymoon" originated. The full Moon in June is the Honey Moon.

And the celebration of the Summer Solstice is happening at Stonehenge, England.
