When you take a college basketball dunk contest participant and put him in a Harlem Globetrotters uniform, you're likely to get at least one ridiculous highlight of glass-shattering proportions.
Former Cincinnati Bearcats forward Darnell Wilks, a.k.a "Spyder," broke a backboard with a powerful dunk during a game in Guayaquil, Ecuador, earlier this month. Video of the action was posted to YouTube more than 10 days ago and has been making the rounds of late, stirring up memories of last year, when Wilks narrowly missed making the finals in the 2011 NCAA Denny's Slam Dunk Contest.
This has to rank up there in the pantheon of crazy backboard breaks.
