In a back-and-forth thriller in Atlanta, the Crimson Tide prevailed 32-28. Although it was 45-yard pass from Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron to wide receiver Amari Cooper that gave the defending BCS champions the lead for good, running backs T.J. Yeldon and Eddie Lacy did most of the damage, rushing for a combined 334 yards.
Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray marched the Bulldogs inside the Alabama 10-yard line in the waning moments but came up short.
