Huffington Post Popular News: 8 Metro Detroit Right-to-work Protesters Take Plea Deal, Reducing Charges From Incident At Michigan Capitol

LANSING, MI -- Eight people who were arrested on Dec. 6 while protesting right-to-work legislation at the Michigan Capitol agreed with prosecutors to a plea bargain that will reduce charges and allow them to avoid jail time.


The eight protesters, all from metro Detroit, pleaded guilty at a preliminary hearing Friday before Lansing District Judge Patrick Cherry to attempted resisting and obstructing police, a misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in jail.
