Part of the landing gear reportedly from one of the airplanes that hit the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001 was discovered in between two buildings in Lower Manhattan Friday, the NYPD said.
The landing gear was discovered "wedged between the rear of 51 Park Place and the rear of the building behind it, 50 Murray Street," according to a statement from the NYPD.
