Rihanna clearly got the hip-hop fashion memo for the 2013 MTV VMAs. The "Unapologetic" singer, who skipped the red carpet and headed straight for her seat next to BFF Melissa, did a complete style 180 from the white angelic look she donned at last year's awards.
RiRi sported her jet black mullet hairstyle with a cut-off shirt featuring female emcee MC Lyte's face and the lyrics "Gotta Get A Ruff Neck," dark blue cuffed jeans and a gold cross grill snug right between her front teeth. (Guess she and Katy Perry discussed what they were wearing post-show.) Rihanna added a feminine touch to her outfit with matte red lipstick, strappy black heels and statement jewelry.
